Privacy and donation policy
Treegens Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The short version. We do not use tracking cookies, we do not sell or share your information, and we never see your card details. If you want your data removed, ask us and we will remove it.
Your donation
Donations are processed by Zeffy, our payment platform. Your card details are entered directly into Zeffy's secure form and are never sent to, stored by, or visible to this website or to Treegens Foundation.
Zeffy issues your receipt by email and holds the official record of your gift. Zeffy is free for nonprofits, which is why 100% of your donation reaches the Foundation.
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
If something goes wrong with a payment
If you were charged and did not receive a receipt, if a gift does not appear, or if you want a donation refunded or a monthly gift cancelled, contact us and we will look into it. Monthly gifts can be paused, changed, or cancelled at any time, with no lock-in.
What this website collects
- If you join the updates list: your email address, so we can send you progress on the record attempt. Nothing else.
- If you contact us: your email address, your name if you give one, and your message, so we can reply.
- Anonymous usage counts: page views and which sections are used. This is measured on our own server without cookies. We do not record IP addresses, we do not build profiles, and we cannot identify you from it.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you are not seeing a cookie banner. Zeffy's donation form and any embedded video may set their own cookies when you interact with them, under their own policies.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We use Zeffy to take donations and Hostinger to host this website, and those providers handle data only to deliver those services.
How long we keep it
We keep your email on the updates list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Messages you send us are kept while we deal with your question and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from updates at any time. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will act on that. Just get in touch.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
