Scalable Positive Impact
We don't plant thousands. We help mobilise millions, from a single fundraiser to uniting nations for country-wide planting days.
The tree charity where you can see every tree
Every tree you fund comes with before and after video of its site and GPS coordinates you can open on satellite, from a foundation started by world record tree planter Jimi Cohen.
The problem
Most tree charities ask you to trust a number in an annual report. Your donation disappears into a total, and you never see a single tree it planted. That gap between giving and knowing is why good people stop giving.
We think generosity deserves proof, not just a thank-you email.
Plant Trees →Radical transparency
Every planting site is filmed before and after, and the GPS coordinates of your trees are on record. The coordinates open on satellite, and every clip links back to the untouched original file. You verify the work yourself.

Bare tidal flat. Nothing planted yet, coordinates on record.
An AI counts every seedling at better than 97.5% accuracy, so no tree is counted twice. Count every frame of this footage and you get 37,616. Count every tree and you get 413.
Who's behind this
We know why you hesitate to give. Proof shouldn't be too much to ask, so we built the Foundation around it.
Jimi's mother is an environmental activist, and he planted his first tree with her at the age of four. In 2019 the Australian bushfires burned for over six months and killed billions of animals, and watching it brought him to one of the lowest points of his life. He turned that grief into a fundraiser, then planted trees for 24 straight hours, three times over. It ended in an official world record.
Jimi's mother is an environmental activist. She campaigned against illegal deforestation by walking hundreds of kilometres and leading planting campaigns. Surrounded by that passion, Jimi planted his first tree at the age of four.
Then, in 2019, the forest fires engulfed Australia for over six months and burned billions of animals alive. Watching video after video led to one of the lowest points in his life. It compelled him to take action and launch a fundraiser.
As donations came in, he felt a surge of passion and aliveness, and the hopelessness dissipated away. That passion fuelled him to plant trees for 24 straight hours, three times, until he officially broke a world record.
On 31 July 2025, Jimi was in Ethiopia, where Treegens partnered with the Ethiopian Government to help them unite 29 million people and plant 714 million trees in a single day, in the first ever GROWlympic Games. We don't claim this alone; we were there to help make it happen.
In November 2025, Treegens secured commitments from 13 environmental leaders, mostly Ministers of Environment, to do exactly what Ethiopia did: a country-wide tree planting day.
Now he's on track to break the next one. On 3 August 2026, Treegens attempts the most trees planted by humanity in a single day: the world's first one-billion-tree day.

Every tree is accounted for. Before & after video and GPS coordinates mean you can see exactly what your gift planted.
We give because the planet and its people need it, not for what comes back. Generosity is the point, not the means.

Mangroves protect coastal communities from storms and rebuild the fisheries people depend on. They're planted by local teams at high volume along coastlines, which keeps the cost of each tree to about ten cents.
